"Trauma is personal. It does not disappear if it is not validated. When it is ignored or invalidated the silent screams continue internally heard only by the one held captive."

What is ART?
Accelerated Resolution Therapy
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)is one of the newest, evidenced based, cutting edge trauma resolution techniques in the field of psychotherapy. It releases trauma from both the body and the mind at a remarkable rate. In just one session you can receive a reduction of your symptoms and possible resolution depending on the type of trauma.
If you’re struggling with the emotional impact of a traumatic event, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) offers a powerful and effective path to healing. ART is designed to help you reduce emotional reactivity and break free from the negative symptoms that trauma can cause, such as anxiety, depression, and distressing memories.
This structured therapy uses guided eye movements and visualization techniques to help your brain and body process trauma in a new way—without requiring you to talk about painful details. Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART allows you to work through distressing memories internally, transforming them so they no longer trigger overwhelming emotions. By replacing negative images and sensations with more positive ones, ART helps you reclaim a sense of peace and control over your life.
ART has showed great promise in working with the following issues:
Anxiety
Depression
Phobias
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Addiction
Performance Anxiety
Poor Self Image
Physical, Sexual, or Emotional Abuse
Family Issues
Relationship Issues/Infidelity/Codependency
Grief and Loss
Job-Related Stress
Perfectionism
Common Questions About ART
-
Although both therapy modalities use eye movements to guide you through trauma, the easiest way to remember the difference is in the name of ART – Accelerated Resolution Therapy. ART is a more direct, more rapid approach than EMDR. Where EMDR would take you through an entire traumatic event, usually in chronological order, with the therapist giving those short guiding statements like, “go with that.” or “what do you see now?” ART is more singular image-focused. It takes you directly to a traumatic image and actively engages your body regulation to support voluntary image replacement, toggling between your mind and body. Answer text goes here
